TDS Sidemount X-Balam

The TDS Kave series

The X-Balam is a system for cave diving due to its great versatility.

The X-Balam was designed as a minimalist and versatile system: it includes a full range of hardware to configure the harness and rods in different ways. This hardware is delivered disassembled, allowing the diver to configure it according to their needs and preferences and to adjust the lengths of the bungees (see detail image).

The upper and lower plates (triangular and trapezoidal) are perforated to allow for these different custom configurations, and feature threaded holes for specific elements (included).

To complete the system, the X-Balam has a side-mounted pocket for tool accessories with three separate compartments. The size of the main compartment can be adjusted thanks to a quick-zip system that adapts the size to the contents, and it features internal tension straps to secure tools. The secondary compartments on both sides of the main compartment feature a zipper (front) and a Velcro closure (back). It includes two double-ended carabiners for attachment to the harness and is embroidered to match the bladder.
