GSM MERCURY Wireless underwater communication unit - Mask sold separately

The GSM MERCURY combines four different OCEAN REEF units in one device: the extended range of the G.power, the stereo-like sound of the GSM G.power SL, the clarity and dual-channel option of the DC, and the long battery life of the G.divers.

Main features of the GSM MERCURY:

• Two speakers with volume control

• Dual-channel unit for separate teams/conversations, depending on environmental conditions, with a range of over 250 meters (800 feet)

• Foldable inside the mask – no need to mount or remove the communication unit. Simply fold it and store the IDM.

• New rechargeable and replaceable battery with an autonomy of approx. 30 hours. No more need to buy and discard disposable batteries. Charge the battery with a standard micro-USB cable from any power source.

• Digital like the first unit we introduced to the market – the DC. Improves communication with higher volume and 2 earphones for a stereo-like experience.

• DAT (Digital Activation Transmission) – hands-free mode. Compatible with all previous OCEAN REEF units and competitor devices on the same frequency.

• New and solid PTT (Push-to-Talk) button. The D-mic 2.0 is now extremely easy to change if necessary. The button module prevents tangling and can be controlled via a yellow, flat, stable button and an easy-to-use lever.

• Voice menu that is clear and easy to learn and fits perfectly with the user-friendliness of the buttons.

• 3-level volume control.

DAT (Digital Activation Transmission)

The automatic activation system DAT™ is an exciting innovation in underwater communication, exclusive to OCEAN REEF. The DAT™ system allows the option of transmitting in hands-free mode instead of manual mode. Keep the blue lever pressed for 2 seconds to enter programming mode.
Press the blue lever once to hear "DAT OFF". Press the yellow button to activate the DAT mode. Press the blue lever to exit programming mode. The unit is now set to an automatic transmission/reception cycle. To exit the DAT mode, simply press the yellow button. A series of pulses is sent, keeping the unit in transmission mode for 30 seconds. After the first 30 seconds, the unit switches to reception mode for 20 seconds, sending a series of pulses in a different tone.
The DAT™ system is useful when both hands need to be free for transmission, making diving more comfortable and safer. Another advantage of the DAT™ system comes in an emergency: by activating DAT™, the unit sends a series of pulses that occur every 30-20-30 seconds and can be received from a great distance by search and rescue teams and other divers.

NEW BLUE MICROPHONE IN ALL 2020 UNITS

The changes concern the microphone and the push-button module. The brand-new version of the GSM Mercury is equipped with the Blue Mic, which replaces the new D-Mic and significantly improves communication clarity.
The Blue Mic looks outwardly like the D-Mic of the GSM G.Divers, G.Power, Cube3, and Alpha Pro uW units, but differs internally.
The Blue Mic is only suitable for GSM Mercury units and can be easily identified at first glance by its blue color.

It is also possible to retrofit the new Blue Mic to previous Mercury units with the New-D-Mic. A special adapter is required for this, which can be purchased separately. Adapter SKU OR003390.

The price of the Mercury communication units has not been changed.
