The TDS Norway drysuit, along with its twin, the Quebec, forms the TDS range of waterproof suits made of compressed neoprene.
The Norwegian model is characterized by a generously sized pocket and a sock-like foot closure, which allows for the use of individual footwear and makes the entire suit lighter, enabling it to be turned completely inside out.
Compressed Neoprene:
The wetsuit is made of 4 mm compressed neoprene foam, laminated on both sides with nylon fabric. Compressed foam neoprene is very dense and has the advantage of resisting compression at great depths. Thus, the suit retains much of its surface buoyancy and requires less air intake to maintain neutral buoyancy; it also offers greater thermal efficiency at greater depths. Unlike trilaminate suits, neoprene provides thermal protection and has inherent buoyancy, and typically requires less additional insulation than trilaminate under any circumstances.
Neoprene Sock:
This version features a neoprene sock instead of an integrated boot, which offers greater versatility, easier donning, simpler maintenance, and better fit adaptability, as body measurements do not have to match standard foot sizes exactly.
Depending on their taste or adaptability, the diver can choose which type of boot or footwear to wear.
It is easier to hang up, increases lightness, and even allows the legs to be turned inside out to better ventilate the inner foot area, which is unthinkable in suits with integrated boots.
Zipper:
Equipped with a waterproof zipper positioned horizontally along the shoulders to allow entry into the drysuit. Ask your partner to place a finger directly in front of the slider when closing it to keep underwear or other items away from the zipper teeth. Also, ensure your partner correctly positions the inner flap of the zipper before closing it.
Neoprene Sleeves:
The sleeves are made of ultra-flexible neoprene for easy donning and improved water resistance.
Hood:
The included hood features waterproof seals for the face and neck.
Flexible Knee Pads:
Reinforcement in the knee area made of flexible material, which makes the suit lighter and more flexible in terms of movement while protecting an area subject to frequent friction.
Integrated Pocket:
Large pocket on the left leg with an easily accessible zipper and drainage holes to prevent water accumulation inside.
Carrying Bag:
Supplied in a carrying bag. The flat design of the bag allows it to be opened and used as a mat to keep your feet clean when putting on or taking off the suit. The bag contains zipper lubricant.
Si-Tech Valves:
The TDS Norway drysuit is equipped with the Si-Tech Low Profile valve system, the most reliable, proven, and widely used valve system in the world.
Shell Inflation Valve:
360-degree swivel system for optimal placement of the inflation hose.
Variable flow rate, controlled by manual pressure.
The flat backplate reduces volume and increases comfort.
Located in the center of the chest.
Argo Exhaust Valve:
Fully adjustable air discharge pressure with manual lock.
High flow rate.
Low profile with smooth contours to prevent the vest from snagging when putting it on.
The flat backplate reduces volume and increases comfort.
Located on the left shoulder.
